Built for doctors preparing for viva and SOE exams

Viva Examiner exists to give clinicians realistic oral-exam practice when colleagues, courses, and tutors are not available.

Why we created Viva Examiner

Viva and structured oral examinations reward clear thinking under pressure — not just textbook knowledge. Yet most doctors still prepare alone, rehearse silently, or wait weeks for a colleague who can play examiner.

We built Viva Examiner because that gap is costly. Candidates know the medicine but stumble when questioned live, lose structure mid-answer, or never get honest feedback before exam day.

Practice should feel like the real viva
Generic chat tools cannot interrupt you, probe weak points, or mirror how an examiner pushes for clarity. Viva Examiner was designed specifically for oral-exam rehearsal.
What we are here to do

Our mission is simple: help doctors pass their viva and SOE exams with confidence.

  • Realistic rehearsal

Live voice sessions with an AI examiner that asks follow-ups, challenges reasoning, and mirrors exam pressure.

  • Actionable feedback

Structured post-session review so you know what to sharpen before you walk into the real room.

Meet the creator

Viva Examiner was created by Dr Ali Ragab, MBBCH, MSc, MCAI — an anesthesiologist, perioperative physician, and medical educator with more than a decade of experience as an anesthesia provider and over thirteen years in healthcare.

He is a board-certified anesthesia specialist who understands how high-stakes oral exams shape careers — and how hard it is to find consistent, quality viva and SOE practice. His training includes an MBBCH in Medicine & Surgery (Honours) from Cairo University, an MSc in Anaesthesiology, ICU & Pain Management, and Membership of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland (MCAI).
